Keep this story in mind as we approach the next municipal elections in Regina. There is almost unanimous hatred of the changes made to 12th Avenue in downtown Regina over the past couple of years. The controversy surrounding the two-way traffic and the renovations on 12th Avenue will likely emerge as a major election issue. Do stay tuned!

Premier Wall defends pay from Saskatchewan Party

I don't see what all of the fuss is about. I just assumed every political party pays their leader a salary, if they can afford to do so. I would find it more interesting if a party doesn't pay its leader.

Party for Government MLAs draws fire

C'mon. Is this REALLY a big deal? Doesn't this kind of graft go on all of the time anyhow? This kind of sounds like sour grapes by Opposition MLAs to me.

Dan D'Autremont becomes Speaker of Saskatchewan's Legislature

Congratulations to Dan D'Autremont on becoming the new Speaker of the Saskatchewan Legislature. D'Autremont defeated sitting Speaker Don Toth for the post. Many thanks to Toth for four years of service. Both MLAs represent rural seats in southeast Saskatchewan, with Toth in Moosomin and D'Autremont in Cannington. D'Autremont was first elected as an MLA in 1991, while Toth was first elected in 1986 and is the last sitting member of the Devine Government. As a side note, I suspect this could be the final term for both MLAs.

Fall Throne Speech tomorrow

Here we go! We should get a strong indication from the Throne Speech, about the future direction of the Wall Government in Term 2. Will the Sask Party continue to govern like the NDP, or will a more free enterprise path be taken from now on? We find out at 10am.
